Mining Days was held the weekend of August 29 & 30, bringing plenty of excitement and friendly competition! Men and women had the opportunity to test their mining skills in events including jackleg drilling, hand mucking, spike driving, and the legendary hand steeling competition. ⛏️💪

The fun wasn’t just for the grown-ups—there were also plenty of events for children to try their hand at and experience a little bit of mining history for themselves!

Mining Days made its exciting return to Idaho Springs after a long absence! The festivities were held September 13 & 14, bringing the community together to celebrate our rich mining heritage.
